I feel like when someone post something about an LS motor or a Mopar itā€™s all good, but when a ford is put on here or FB itā€™s like all the same ā€œFord sucks assā€ comments. I like all three, they all have the part in automotive history but really come guys Shut the hell up.

Well the thing is, this is in stock format.
Try to modify the LS and the cyote for the same higher power figure and you will spend much much more money into the ford. Totally different engine layouts.

Yet at the end of the day the Coyote will be able to go farther, since it is the b*stard child of the Windsor and the mod engine it can go far. I give it another year and it will be clocking that 6 second 1/4 mile, whereas the LS hasnt broken 6.1 yet.

And still not a single person has mentioned the 4.8 liter truck motor that was boosted to 1500hp for an entire season of drag racing without blowing up and all they replaced was piston rings? But the ls can only handle 700hp stock internals lol

Those internals werenā€™t stock, it did 1500hp on forged partsā€¦

One point against the coyote is that it isnā€™t everywhere yet, you HAVE to get a recently deceased Mustang, or order the crate engine, whereas the LS can be found with a simple toss of a rock in a junkyard. So for initial investment the LS will be a lot cheaper.

V-Tech and EcoBoost kicked in yo

Coyote is available cheaper at $6,189.
But its true power ratings are 420 HP and 390 torque, so whoever made this meme is a little wrong. Also, a crate 5.0 is 553 pounds.

The 6.2 LS3 can be had for 480 HP and 475 torque for $6,374 at JEGS. It weight 415 pounds.

Also, Iā€™ve gone on Mustang forums like svtperformance.com and it seems like the safe limit for HP on stock Coyote 5.0 engine approx. 650. You could run 900 HP for maybe two runs and then the engine blows.

Now its hard to compare stock limits with LS motors because there are so many of them, so iā€™ll compare three. The 4.8 LQ4 had 60 1200HP+ runs on its with just ARP studs and some other minor stuff (HotRod magazine tested). Without those mods Iā€™m guessing 800-900 HP, maybe even a 1000? There are 700+ HP naturally aspirated LS7s with heads/cam(okay so they ARE using some radical cams that would suck for daily driving, but still impressive) (Vette forums). There are people pushing 800 HP+ on many forums for the BONE STOCK LS3, but officials like to say the safe limit is 650-740 HPā€¦.. so about the same as a Coyote (http://www.lsxtv.com/tech-stories/engine/preparing-your-ls3-for-surviving-boost/)
http://www.americanmuscle.com/coyote-crate-engine.html

Of course, everything depends on type of fuel and tune. ESPECIALLY THE TUNE!

Hope this helps proves that theres no point in arguing like a bunch of idiots. Both engines are masterpieces.
