I had the opposite problem, but it wasn’t a bad problem. My dad refused to be consider cars that “weren’t muscley enough”

I waited until I was 30 to step in the realm of genuinely fast cars. Easiest way to learn car dynamics and control: low powered cars like Miatas, Celicas, stock DSM AWDs, etc. It wasn’t a big jump for me to go to a 1993 3000GT VR4 then last year because I knew how to handle a car quite well. Side bonus was that this one already had some work done to it. I love it, the girlfriend hates it, everyone else tells me to grow up. WIN

Convince parents to allow buying wagon version of a regularly fast car. Most parents will fall for its practicality. Worked for me at least. -Audi Twin Turbo wagon

on that whole insurance thing, i switched from an 08 wrx to an 01 audi tt convertible. please explain why my 2 door convertible sports car is half the price of my AWD 4 door sedan… FYI both are turbo.

Or you could just make your own money and buy your own car so your parents can’t stop you! Im 16 with a 340 whp and my parents can’t do a thing about it lol.

You can’t legally register the car at 16 years old in the US, so you’d need their permission for that. Plus if you live in their house you gotta play by the rules!
