I know what you mean, I usually see those with "Jdm as f***" sticker next to them. I understand some people use it to show their love for jdm, but more often than not they don’t even know what it means. Even if they do know and they still put it it’s kind of dumb to me because they change the meaning of it. Its kind of like the whole "SWAG" thing that went on in the USA a while ago. People used it to say "Cool" when in reality it was a acronym back in the 70s I believe, that stood for "Secretly we are gay".

The "secretly we are gay" thing is total bs, sorry. Swag is a synonym of "booty", as in " I’m a pirate and I collected a lot of booty arrr arr" (not booty as in Kim Kardashian)

i only posted this to see what you guys say. but it came up in conversation at a car meet and 90% of the people there said its pointless and means beginner driver in japan.. So i find it absolutely pointless to put it on any cars that are not in japan.. i realise there is an ironic feeling to it but i reckon most people that have the sticker don’t know what it means.

I thought JDM meant "Japanese Domestic Motorsport" I understand the beginner driver thing is a bit odd.. but saying "JDM as f*ck" is like saying your car is straight from Japan’s car scene… Maybe that’s just me though

JDM is Japanese Domestic Market

Same with SWAG - it’s "secretly we are gay" and nowadays young people think it means something like "cool, nice" etc. Regarding this logo, I think, it’s something, like putting 316i badge on M3 - here you stick beginner driver on drift machine.

This can turn into a very, very long argument. But in the first half of the 20th century, it meant happy. I remember a musical I went to once that had in the description that it featured "a gay wedding!" but indeed it was a play from the 30s and it was a straight wedding.
And swag is that free stuff they give you at conventions and whatnot. Not "secretly we are gay" >.>

In Japan they put it on the cars in an ironic fashion. As in "lol i’m a new driver in my 2jz chaser drifting on public roads"

Lol pretty much! JDM is typically driven by beginner drivers.

It is used in Japan as beginner magnets meaning, "Hey, I don’t know totally 100% wtf I am doing so be weary." It is not 100% mandatory to get one but if you get into a accident without one in your first 1-2 years of driving, then you could be in a little more trouble than you need to be.
