I was wondering why nobody likes the Hyundai Genesis Coupe? It has 348 hp going to the rear wheels and is not too expensive. Anyways does it have too much power to be a first car?? I would like it to be my first car even though Im too young

Well, just because it’s rear-wheel drive doesn’t mean it handles well. I heard it understeers pretty heavy during turn in. And it isn’t a pretty car for sure :D

Personally, I find that they are much slower than the papers say… I laugh when they try to keep up. In theory, 348 HP is okay… In actuality, somehow, Hyundai botched those numbers and they are not nearly that in many cases.

They sound like Hondas (yuck) with cheap-sounding blow-off valves that they like to shout about (“listen, I have a blow-off valve. I’m totally cool, like a Subaru or Mitsubishi have had for years and years”)

The engines are too far forward in the engine bay, weight distribution is bad, and they are possibly the worst looking affordable sports car.

When compared with the competition, like 370Z, it doesn’t make sense at all, why anyone would go for the Hyundai…

That was when it had a turbo engine. Now it has a naturally aspirated v6, so maybe these issues were fixed? I don’t know.

The looks are fine by me. But the performance is pretty bad. Hyundai and kia, cars from both company offer massive horsepower and 0-60 accleration. But they cant even keep up with base model FWD lancers. The genesis is no different. U can buy FRS, GTI which are much better
