Kei cars, they were considered fast in the early 90's, but sadly with Japan's restriction on maximum power, now it's not considered fast anymore. But these cars really have the potential to be brutal, that is why I like them.
I’m still thinking how much it price for the sensor technology to fit on existing Daihatsu Mira out there….
I think we should have them here, the lcgc law is silly.
LCGC law is pointless, making cheap cars by decreasing their quality. The Datsun go scored 0 stars on the India NCAP, and I doubt if the Wagon R did any better, since it is made by maruti Suzuki. Most cars by maruti suzuki didn’t pass NCAP, that includes maruti swift and alto. But I’m quite impressed with Honda and Daihatsu. Both Brio and Ayla passed with reasonable scores in ASEAN NCAP ( although in Euro NCAP they will score worse, since Euro cars must have 6 airbags, ESP, and other stuffs ). Bringing kei cars to Indonesia? Well let me think. With Japan standards of quality they might cost as much as a new Honda Jazz. It’s a good idea if they build the cars here, since qualities will be decreased and price will go down.
