Roadkill is better than Gas Monkey and Richard is a buisness guy so, No Monkeys
This is what I’m talking about. He’s a car guy. The fact he does business dosnt put me off of him
for me it was all the acting when roadkill challenged them that was the final nail in the coffin. AAAND the over dramatising on fast ‘n loud (the whole 2 weeks to build a car when its been spotted sitting in earlier scenes) and the shoddy work that Hot Rod exposed
Don’t really catch what you’re saying. Would you mind explaining a bit more?
My dad has worked with most of the people on gmg, and trust me off camera they’re assholes; and there mechanics skills consist off (in the past) n***** rigging. Being part of DFW I was initial kinda proud we had a show here about cars, but if you watch interviews Richard (my dad has beef with the Aaron guy and some other) he made the shop literally to be his show it was his #1 goal of it, hence cars didn’t come first. Also there was one bike even (don’t remember which one) where the competition was to build the best custom bike, gmg just restored a old Harley (which is against the point of the comp.) and won because the votes where hosted online. So my advice, don’t treat anyone on TV/Internet like royalty, they’re people too; some of them, though not most, aren’t the best people.
So who is your dads exctey and can you show me any footage of this? My point with this post it that people think he’s a non car guy.
what about aaron? He seems like a nice guy
It’s like the mustang vs camaro argument. People feel like they have to pick one or the other. In this case, it’s GMG vs Roadkill.
First answer that makes sense
He seems like a driver, not a mechanic kind of guy. I’ve seen a few episodes where they really ghetto some stuff up (cutting springs, anyone?) and their prices are insane sometimes. Not to mention when they do the rundown for the prices for parts they seem unrealistic. An 800 paint job? I’m sure that looks great. And how does he pay his emplyees? Last episode I watched he netted 7K profit. Pay 5 people for a week and pay your business expenses, that 7K doesnt go far. Sorry this kind of turned into a rant, but I’m sick of people coming into our shop acting like they know everything about restorations/repair because of shows like this.
The reason he doesn’t work on cars is because he has dozens of mechanics HE hired to do the job. If I start a resto business at first I work like he did when it becomes a million dollar business though I hire people to do the job like he did
Aaron i like, because he can make his vision happen with cars. but look at Richard, he was a business man before GMG and now hes created a brand with his shop with a bar and grill, and now tequila that have nothing to do with his shop really but still wears the same logo and same basic name.. whats that called lady’s and gentlemen? Business. It’s not that I don’t like him, its how he doesn’t just focus on the shop and help work with the guys and take some time away from the desk.
How is Fast N loud? Is it worth watching?
Hands down the best car show for me. I recommend you watch them. They do awesome projects. YouTube it. My favorite is the f40 build
