My 2JZ swap into my E46 M3.

So this is a car we are currently having built.

Currently we run two E46 M3’s on track. The red one is a more road focused car, weekend toy that kind of thing.

The silver car pictured was the track focused car, stripped, caged, big brakes, big power etc.

Anyway, the red car’s driver has gotten bored of driving the slower car, and has decided to go all out, with a car “stealth” build.

2JZGE

Enter this.

That, ladies & gentlemen is one of the oft-considered “Greatest engines ever built”

That is a 2JZ. But we are missing a couple of letters right? It’s not a 2JZGTE.

No

This block started out life as a non-turbo, bog standard 2JZGE-VVTI.

It was ripped from it’s comfortable heart in a wrecked supra shell and given new life. The entire engine has been stripped down and rebuilt. No expense has been spared. It has also been adapted to take a turbo.

But you could see that.

That engine, with it’s big precision 6266 turbo will be dropped into the E46 to produce a whopping 650 WHP and 850 ft/lb of torque at 1.2 bar of boost.

Oh boy, it’s going to be fun.

Adapter Plate

To take the power we are using an E46 manual gearbox with a custom made 2JZ adapter plate to bond the two together.

Later on in the year, once it is finished. This car will be receiving a Samsonas Sequential gearbox with pneumatic shifter.

This car started life as an SMG model, so we will be retaining the original paddles, paired to the new box.

Extra stealth.

Xtreme Clutch

The car will be receiving numerous other upgrades along the way.

Not limited to:

12 point custom roll cage
Recaro Profi SPG Pro seats x2 (Harnesses to match)
Custom made exhaust system by Originiall Fabrication. This system will be a straight pipe to a rear box which will split in to the iconic 4 piece exhaust tip that is standard to the E46. This system will feature an electronically controlled wastegate pipe, essentially allowing us to turn off and on our “Screamer Pipe”
A EMU PRO master ECU system with an ipad mini that will slot into the dash, this will display all relevant information we need, no more obvious boost gauges.

Essentially this car is designed to look like, not even at first glance, but under inspection, like a normal E46 M3. Only with a hidden monster under the bonnet.

The car should hopefully be completed within the next two months. I will be providing

I’d say the S54 is a better engine but, everyone has different tastes.
