My Honda Integra DC2 Type R My first car, im 17 and on my p's and im not a honda fan boy but i love this car so much and dont understand why honda get so much hate. Just thought I'd get some reviews on it good or bad. Cheers.
Hondas are amazing cars. For the people that can’t respect a passion towards all cars, they’re an idiot, not a car guy.
Say that in the Facebook community and they shun you to death. So sad. Most of them are now just sorry excuses for car people.
sad chirp
That car is very nice, I have always wanted a set of those dc2 Recaro’s for my 1995 Civic Hatch. I hope you enjoy the car, Honda’s are good cars.
its actually a really good car. One of my mates also had the exact same car as his first and he enjoyed it. Even though it is a front wheel drive car and it puts a lot of stress on the front wheels when driving fast, it’s actually a great handling car for what it is (on regular road tyres). it has a very low canter of gravity as well compared to many other cars cause its also pretty low, which assists the handling quite a lot. At least that’s what I’ve experienced in a stock Integra. Im not a great analyzer of how a car behaves when you compare me to test drivers and i havn’t been in many Integras but that is what I have felt in the Integra’s characteristics. Also, because the car is pretty light, there is not much need to add more power to the car if you want to drive fast on winding roads (although entirely up to you). But better wheels and tyres would help if you want to go fast around corners. which can help in reducing the chances of understeer as well. All in all, congratulations of the first car!! im very very happy for you :)
Yeah it has semi-slick tires on it (sr-s tires) which feel great and running a mugen exauhst and a injen cold air intake which ads a little bit extra on power side of things. In Australia we have regulations on the amount of power for people of p’s and this care just makes the cut at 129.7kw per tone and the limit is 130kw per tone. But great car through the windy roads i love it.
Lucky guy to have a car like that for your first car, in the UK we can get a 1.4L engine top as insurance is ridiculous on anything bigger. Fantastic car and that will handle like its on rails, nevermind "for a FWD car"
Take good care of it, Integras are a thrill to drive, and quite rare to find in such a condition as yours nowadays. I drive a JDM Spec98 and it puts a smile on my face everytime i turn on the key :D
I was seeing the pic and I was like "nice car", then I give a better look and I see it’s portuguese!!! :D Here in Portugal I just saw one Integra Type R DC2 in Lisbon (I’m from Algarve) in a highway, and if I remember correctly, it was XX-EZ-XX or something like that :P Treat well your girl, I mean, car :P I would love to have a Type R one day (even if it isn’t a DC2)
Another guy from Portugal :D I have the luck to have seen a few Integras, but IMO the JDM front-end is so much better and I’ve never seen one…
That car looks really clean and I guess it will stay in that shape. Good luck with the ownership of that piece of art :D
I just wanna hug that steering wheel….
Same here!
Hondas are fine, stupid honda owners (NOT ALL OF THEM!!!) that really grind my gears. Awesome car, thought. Gotta love that interior!
I like the version with the other headlights better, but that’s just my opinion :) beautiful car
