My Review on Honda Fit RS
So this might be the first review on a car, so lets get into it!
Introduction
So suppose you ever wanted the Honda CRZ because its the only hybrid sports hatch that has a manual transmission? But also you want to have practicality and carry 4 people with ease. So Honda decided to put the CRZ engine into their sensible hatchback Fit!
Overall asthetics
This car is pretty much acceptable to look like a sporty hatchback, and it is. The bumper and the spoiler makes it lot better to look compared to the standard Fit and from the rear it just reminds me of the old Civic Type R, which is kinda cool! Around the interior is also pretty basic too. With leather steering wheel, the gear knob and the steel pedals makes it feels good. The seats including the rear ones are pretty comfy too, so carrying 4 people wouldn’t be a problem then! But its just one thing I really don’t like seeing, and that’s plastic. Its pretty much everywhere…
The Drive
The Fit gives you 3 modes to play with, normal, sport and eco mode.
Normal Mode
This hatch seems ‘normal’ in anyway, as I drove it quite felt like any other car. The ride felt good and getting it over bumps was’t so bad. However I wanted to see how the normal mode really felt like. So I took a curve road couple of blocks away from my house. At first, the car was like ‘’Hmm, not too shabby..’’ and did it again on the other side of the road. The car felt pretty good except the ride got a bit harsh but not too hard.
Sport Mode
Pressing this button makes the dial red, plus I also turned off the traction control (which later was of no use to disable it.) and made another go. This time the engine got a lot punchier, the car felt more quicker than the normal mode. And despite of having a single curvy road, it was kinda fun to drive it! What really made it fun was the short shifter and the steering feel. Man it felt soo good. The motor was giving the engine a jolt of extra power that made it quick on road. But I was in legal limits, so I couldn’t any faster and try out the traction control system.. But it was one heck of a go!
Eco Mode
And then finally came the eco mode. Once press the button, the car immediately became numb. Its like someone punched it in the face. The response dropped significantly and became a slow cruiser of some sort. But that’s what its meant for, saving power and increasing economy.
Overall I am pretty damn happy on this car, for anyone who wants to buy this hot hatch, especially in our country it would be great! It dodges the country’s exceeding taxes just because its a hybrid and still get good performance. But all in all cheers!
