My Top 7 Car Films of all Time (Excluding Fast & Furious)

There are a lot of films out there to do with cars or related to cars, here is a pick of 7 of my favourites ( I’m excluding F&F because there are so many of them, they will be all over the list).

1. Rush

2. Need for Speed

3. Senna

4. Bullitt

5. The Italian Job (1969)

6. Cars

7. Herbie: Fully Loaded

Well, that’s it for my list (I’ve probably forgotten 1 or 2), as I aid this is my personal list so if you have any great car films you love to watch, drop it into the comments below. Thanks for looking.

I think “born to race” was an awesome racing movie too :)
The one with the white subaru

I totally agree. JDM vs. Muscle. In real life I wouldn’t expect his subie to break down as much. And honestly that mustang shouldn’t have had to redline to win that race

Saw both, would see them again.

A lot of people didn’t like Need for Speed, but I thought it was pretty good. Also, Cars is really good, they got the car facts pretty spot on.

Online need for speed gets a lot of hate, but i think its really good. And i was amazed how much Pixar went into depth aboth which charachter was which car.

Maybe NFS not the best racing movie, but just look at the car lineup.
I mean Koenigsegg and Modified 900hp Mustang, who doesn’t love it?

Haven’t seen the Herbie Reboot or Need for speed. Other ones on the list are very good!

Need for speed is a bit of a love it or hate it thing. And herbie is good if you like nascar.

I feel like the original Herbie was a million times better than the Reloaded version

Yeah!! So much classic man! The old movie were much better with some funny old film stuff. Love both versions but you know, old school is always better.

One Lap Kings

Vanishing Point, LeMans, Gone in 60 Seconds (1974 version), The Gumball Rally, Cannonball Run (1 and 2), American Graffiti and Two-Lane Blacktop. You can thank me later

Oh god yeah Vanishing Point, completely forgot!

haha, I love Gone in 60 seconds, it’s like 20 minutes of story and 50 minutes of car chase.

Vanishing point was such a garbage movie. A guy just driving a car, the police follow him, the radio talks about it, he meets some weird people, he crashes into a bulldozer and kills himself (spoiler alert). I can’t believe I wasted my time watching that movie.

All cars go to heaven. I haven’t see the second one yet but I’m sure it’s good. Everyday Driver also has 3 movies I’m sure they are awesome as well. And Adam Carolla’s Racing: The Life of Paul Neuman.

Haven’t heard of any of them!

Oh yeah! And the Top Gear movies. I like the Perfect Toad trip 1 & 2 but there’s a bunch!

I was more thinking actual proper movies and not Top Gear DVD’s
