NFS The Run vs NFS Hot Pursuit vs NFS 2015
Seen lots of people bashing NFS 2015 for the driving physics. grip. Drift. Whatever. Never took part in the Beta myself. Just waiting til November 5th to play the game.
But people complained so much about the easy drift physics in Hot Pursuit (which was a brilliant game) and we ended up with the Run. The Run is by far the worst NFS game in existence. Great story. Beautiful graphics. But the cars are unbelievable uncontrollable. Fans complained about the previous titles constant oversteer and the result is a game with so uch understeer the only way to corner at speed is to hit the guard rail on the corner or the building and bounce off it.
So no matter how NFS 2015 handles. Just remember. it could be so much worse.

There hasn’t been a good Need For Speed since 2006. After Carbon, it was all downhill from there.
The new its pretty good. In fact, for me, its the best one ever. (beta player right here)
I liked Pro Street…
Hot Pursuit 2010 was great o_O
Imagine if hellaflush was implemented, and had no handling effects.
I’m pretty sure it is implemented and they’re aren’t effects
I liked the run… Just use the Fairlady Z and the handling is fine.
the only Need For Speed game I’ve owned is The Run. Am i missing out?
Yes, 1000x yes
For everyone who doesnt like the handling in the NFS Beta, Go complain about it all you want! so EA can hear you and tweak the game before release. This is what Beta is for anyway.
its an arcade racer… of course the handling is going to be hated. Everyone expects Forza or GT handling on all games. That’s not NFS
Personally I loved the idea of Need for speed : Pro street, it was a good mix, but the driving not so much.
By far my favorite in terms of handling (and as a need for speed fan I never cared so much for handling) is Shift 2 Unleashed, with some tweaks.
And as a fellow CT member once said… it is an Arcade, not a simulator. The idea is to make your dream cars and roam around. Part of the Need for Speed magic is the feeling, and the imagination. Most of us will never drift down the canyons or do crazy skids on the empty city streets at midnight.
Need for Speed is about enjoyment and about the cars. The cars as form of art. If the cars handle better then in NFS the Run or NFS Porshe I’m fine with that.
P.S And if they let me customize my gauges, cuz you now… it givz speeeeeed .
And of course if there are now drifting golf GTi mk4 making sicker slides then Supras… I’ll be fine
Am I the only one who likes NFS The Run? To be honest it was a good game and Yeah, Handling the car was really tough but it was fun :D
It was like four hours long..
It was more Call of Duty than NFS. Did you see any other racing games with “Press X to run”?
Why is everyone losing their minds over the handling, it honestly handles fine, I played the beta a lot and it was only weird at the start, most people are use to the handling in forza but its suppose to be like that, all these posts about the handling might actually stop some people from buying this game, if you are into simulators maybe stay away from the game but if you want a all around good experience go for it.
For the record, handling in the beta was pretty bad when set to anything that contained a grip-like setup (I would really like to emphasize the fact that you cannot turn with grip a grip setup). You can’t turn near as fast as drifting the corner, and now if you hit a wall at high speed, there is a very high chance you’ll just spin out or crash. On top of that, if you have a drift setup and are going down the highway and do a Scandinavian flick, you instantly gain 20-30mph, whereas if you just kept accelerating straight you would only gain 10mph in the same distance/ time. There are a lot of issues that have yet to be fixed.
In easy words:
No matter how much love they put it on the game, people will complain it
