I really expected people to come at yell at me saying that everyone knew this. Glad to teach some fun facts
Here is a slightly longer version of the story: The squad that used to occupy this hangar was actually the oldest fighter plane squadron from Sweden, from approximately the 1930’s. Back then, the aviation industry was quite new, and before modern electronics, the pilots would have to fly using just their senses. This squadron would always take off before dawn and come back after dusk, so people only heard these planes but never saw them and so they called them ghosts. It was then that the squadron decided to adopt the ghost symbol. For reasons unknown, this squadron adopted the slogan “The Show Must Go On” and painted this slogan, in English, on all of their airplanes. Eventually the show stopped and Koenigsegg moved into the hangar and some of the employees that used to work on the airplanes kindly asked if Koenigsegg would put the ghost symbol on their cars so that the show can go on. From that day forward, the ghost symbol is now proudly painted on every Koenigsegg that comes out of that hangar.

You forgot the part where the old koeningsegg factory burned down. And the fighter squadron kindley lent their hangar to them.
This has some inaccuracies. The squadron was F10 Angelholm, and it was formed 1940. They didn’t fly with their "senses" entirely, because they had flight instruments in 1940, and in 1930…..and 1920…..either way, the squadron was disbanded in 02.

I first saw this ghost on NFS Rivals… Always thought it just meant that the development team of the game (who are called "Ghost Games") decided to sneak in a small little reference to themselves… I know I sound stupid :( but this is a cool fact :D
