What are your opinions on the Factory Five GTM supercar? I love the Idea of building a supercar in your garage for between $40k-$60 that's faster than an enzo.
Faster than an enzo If you spend the $60k and make it with an LS7. Still pretty quick even if you spend the bare minimum $40K, considering it weighs only about 2000 lbs/1000kg.
Reading through their website it seems more than a purpose built race chassis than a road legal super car…
It is road legal, and the suspension and ride won’t break your spine according to reviews. The extent to which it is a purpose built race car is up to the builder, they can purchase the kit with a full interior with creature comforts such as aircon, power-steering, and radio, or you can buy the kit with stripped interior and firm up the suspension to racing standards. That’s the beauty of the kit, the chassis itself is designed for racing though, so that people who bought the car as a racer would not be limited by a flimsy heavy chassis, and having a strong light racing chassis does not really detract from comfort so why not?

You need a C5 corvette for the engine, suspention, and brakes. They recommend buying a crashed on from a scrap yard because you will only be using those parts. Everything else is custom.
