What do you prefer more and why, Fast & Furious or Initial D?

I am aware that they are both different and both are really good, but Initial D has the upper hand for me. Tōge scene, JDM cars, intense and crazy one-on-one racing, where you don’t know what to expect, as well as eurobeat add up to make brilliant combination.

Initial D and Tokyo Drift. Who doesn’t love Eurobeat and the Teriyaki Boyz? All the RX-7 love too!

Wangan Midnight, dude. the plot and the tuner’s life are the plus point why i pick Wangan Midnight over the Initial D

Fast and furious is a great series and enjoyable to watch even for car guys.
I’ve watched maybe 7 episodes of initial D, and I didn’t like it. It’s very overrated and has a car guy elitist feel about it. Like if you haven’t seen every episode you aren’t a car guy.

I don’t like how FnF franchise run right now. It’s kinda like they force the storyline and try make everythings in previous series make sense,Like han death scenes and then suddenly jason statham appear as a shaw brother then Dom go to Japan to meet Sean and so on.Maybe that mockery memes about FnF 16537 is true, maybe they will add more badguys that threaten the “Family” so they can make a “New” FnF.

Initial D. F&F is more concerned about gun shootouts and fistfights rather than the whole movie being based on cars, like Initial D or Wangan Midnight.

Initial D for me. It was more factual than Fast and Furious, all the terminology was used correctly and that’s a small touch which I really like compared to F&F which just used words they heard of but never looked up the meaning for. They really went to town with all the real life driving techniques and talked a lot about the engineering side of things as well.

Also I felt Initial D really gave you that atmosphere you feel in a racing environment. I wouldn’t say it was realistic but it’s a lot closer to it than F&F which as an Engineer and racing fanatic just frustrates me sometimes.

THIS! Some driving techniques did make sense, even though they are a bit unrealistic. What kind of engineer are you?
