What engines can you think of that had a very low specific output for the time they were produced? I'm thinking engines like the Iron Duke...

The 1981-84 Datsun 810 had some thing like 118 hp out of the fuel injected L24E engine out of the classic 240z witch is a 2.4L straight 6 and with some haveing the option of a 3 speed automatic transmission u could only imagine I just straight swaped my 810 with the L28E out of the 81-83 280zx

I have owned a 1987 nissan 300zx for a few months now. I have to say 80s tech was pretty bad, but come on, a 3L v6 should make more than 160hp. seriously, I think the 280z made more power.

Subaru EJ16 90 hp. Seriously!? NA version with 90 hp it wont survive on the wide roads and freeways of the US. And what kind of 1.6 only makes 90 hp? Even Suzuki can do better than that!

Toyota 1TR-FE 2.0 I4 gas. DOHC but only has 134 hp. Toyota 2TR-FE is also DOHC, with 2.7 I4 gasoline. DUAL VVT-i and only makes 158 stupid hp.
