What car completely changed your perceptions of something?

For me, it was the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that changed my perception of American cars. I’ve always dismissed ‘Murican cars as, for me, life is more than just a straight line. Corners are where the fun is at.

For me, it was the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that changed my perception of American cars. I’ve always dismissed ‘Murican cars as, for me, life is more than just a straight line. Corners are where the fun is at. But then the Z/28 came along and even the most biased European had to sit up and take notice. And it even looks stunning, too.

We want to know what car completely changed your opinion about something. Perhaps it was an electric car that converted you from ICE, a manual that made you realise sometimes auto is the answer, or perhaps a manufacturer you hated made something epic. Let us know in the comments and we’ll share the best!

The C7 vette. I thought americans are only good at making muscle cars (not offending muscle cars but offending lack of variety). take japan for example, they make simple sport cars such as the toyota GT86, supercar(s) like the lexus LFA, 2 seater convertibles like the miata and rally cars like the evo and the Sti. also europe has nearly the same segment. I like how the C7 looks, also it has a decent amount of power and it handles quite good. the new ford focus RS also proved that americans can make 4wd practical car. but the vette came first.

Had you done research on America’s muscle, you would have noted the ‘89 1LE, even in 1982 Car an Driver praised the Camaro as a neutral, competent track weapon.

Ford focus st. I always thought Ford was boring and only cared about their truck lineup. Then I got a ride in one and understood why everyone was talking about it. Before that all I knew about Ford was the mustang and escort cosworth. Nothing else interested me

Audi changed the way I tought of an cars refinement is and how this manufacturer combines the class with Sport. Is just amazing.Changed the way I tought of an AWD system in generall and took my eyes from all RWD cars like Supra,BMW,Merc…etc and made me see AWD systems like the ones from Mitsubishi and Subaru different.Quattro is the best in my eyes and combined that with Audi just = Perfection.

BMW’s. I had no idea when I fist started driving that a car could be so fun and so capable. They truly changed the way I saw cars as a whole.
