The Honda NSX Costs £130,000, But That's Not The Only Reason You Can't Buy One
We’ve been expecting the Honda NSX to be rather expensive in the UK, and now we know how expensive. Are you ready? It’s “approximately” £130,000. It’s not quite as bad as some had suggested, with talk of ‘swapping the dollar sign for a pound symbol’ on the car’s $156,000 price in the USA (where it’s badged as an Acura), but still a considerable sum.
That’s about £3000 more than a Porsche 911 Turbo and £10,000 more than the base Audi R8. It’s almost £5000 less than the top spec R8 V10 Plus though, and around £13,000 less than a McLaren 570S.
The problem is, even if you can afford this 550bhp hybrid supercar, you probably can’t buy one. The UK’s entire allocation of 100 cars was snapped up by buyers leaving £5000 deposits way back in 2014, before the production version of the car had even been revealed. Whether or not more cars will be made available in the future, we’ll have to wait and see.
Assuming the NSX was still available, would you buy one, or would you rather the Audi, McLaren, Porsche or something else?

I’d either get the NSX-R from 2005, or a C7 Z06 (with the Z07 Aero Package of course), and this well, probably nah.
130k for a Honda?? No way!, I’d rather have a Porsche or a Mclaren
130k for a Honda? No way! I’d rather spend that on a VW.
Mee tooo
The reason I wouldn’t buy it is because it’s ugly as hell!
I just want a 5.2 voodoo swapped 1970 mustang
I think I’d rather get an older NSX that’s cheaper, than the new one.
I’d rather buy an Old Nsx Type-R, Na1 or Na2 and supercharge it.
R8 V10 PLUS FTW!!!
to be honest i like the new NSX but i will never value it on the same level as either of the R8’s. it was the same with the old NSX for me, i never saw it as a super car but only as a sports car, like 1 step above the S2000, im probably wrong but the NSX just never gave me the energy that a diablo did. The same is with the new NSX, i see it and i think its a fantastic car, but only compared to the GTR and GTR value cars (75-90k GBP) i dont see it competing with Mclaren and Audi’s R8 (especially the new one which just gives me goosebumps its that spectacular)
sure down the line if they become cheaper and i have the money i would take on over say an F type but since honda look to be trying the Lexus LFA tactics i doubt they will.
McLaren for me.
