The Honda NSX Costs £130,000, But That's Not The Only Reason You Can't Buy One
We’ve been expecting the Honda NSX to be rather expensive in the UK, and now we know how expensive. Are you ready? It’s “approximately” £130,000. It’s not quite as bad as some had suggested, with talk of ‘swapping the dollar sign for a pound symbol’ on the car’s $156,000 price in the USA (where it’s badged as an Acura), but still a considerable sum.
That’s about £3000 more than a Porsche 911 Turbo and £10,000 more than the base Audi R8. It’s almost £5000 less than the top spec R8 V10 Plus though, and around £13,000 less than a McLaren 570S.
The problem is, even if you can afford this 550bhp hybrid supercar, you probably can’t buy one. The UK’s entire allocation of 100 cars was snapped up by buyers leaving £5000 deposits way back in 2014, before the production version of the car had even been revealed. Whether or not more cars will be made available in the future, we’ll have to wait and see.
Assuming the NSX was still available, would you buy one, or would you rather the Audi, McLaren, Porsche or something else?
Comments
I would buy 3 original NSX than buy an overpriced Honda. Its just not there with Audi and Porsche or McLaren. Its like1 Alfa said our cars will be in a price range of bmw 5series because we also have leather seats.
Explain how is it overpriced when it can keep up with cars that cost twice as more?
Has nobody seen this thing perform???? This will be the car that can keep up with the lamborghini and ferrari on the tracks and might even beat them!!!
at the rveal they said 319999 dollars wtf
911 turbo please
Everybody is talking trash about the car they don’t really know.
Rather go for a V10 Plus, my life’s end goal car.
RUBBISH
R8 V10+
nope, sorry Honda but even if it sounds “close-minded” I cannot give 150k to get a Honda key. No matter how much I trust the japs with high efficient engineering I cannot buy a super car from a manufacturer that never build supercars (NO, previous NSX wasn’t a supercar) so I’ll go for the Audi R8 plus
Well…Toyota never made a supercar and yet they made the LFA and that was an amazing car. (And Nissan with the R35 if you consider it a supercar)
That’s got to be the dumbest reason.
You say that but the R8 was Audi’s first supercar. Just because it’s the manufacturer’s first supercar doesn’t mean they haven’t hired anyone who has experience in designing and manufacturing supercars.
id rather have the R8 or the 570s
