I think the C20LET is one of the best 4 Cylinder Engines!
Mitsubishi 4g series. Simply for the good power output, multiple diffrent variations such as 4g63 and 4g64. They are pretty much bullet proof and respond to bolt on mods extremely well compared to other 4 cylinder engines. And during the early 90s they were one of the more powerful 4c factory engines. Or my other choice is 3sgte as it is highly under rated and is durable enough to endure trip through hell and back 6 times over haha

Everyone’s saying Honda’s and other, they are great and I agree. But I think the suzuki M series engine (M13/15/16A) on the swift’s are so under looked. They are rev happy, fairly high compression and powerful engines. With the new M16A’s producing 134 bhp. this engine combined with the lightweight swift if just so much fun to drive.
1998 Toyota 4A-FE. It’s not much, but it gets the job done, and then some.
