No need to argue the best four-cylinder engine is VW’s ABF from 1996-1999 it come with 150 Hp but with some modifications can reach to 1000+ Hp u can now get a vw golf mk3 for around 1000 Euro

surly a motorbike engine like the suzuki gsx-r 1000 would have a better hp to liter ratio with 182hp and 86lb/ft

Subaru EJ series, has been relatively unchanged over the past 20 years. Hell, the EJ257 has been and continues to be the 305HP beating heart of the STi for well over a decade. Hard to have that long of a run and still be in a top tier class.
