Some of the most overrated cars.

As car people we obviously have to deal with fanboys saying that this is the best car, and that is the best. So today, we are going to shine some light on these cars on why they are overrated.

Lamborghini Aventador

The Lamborghini Aventador is one of the most overrated cars to not just the younger ‘enthusiasts’, but even the older ones. It has a 6.5 liter V12 that makes 700 horsepower at all four wheels. Big power in an Italian supercar, means a lot of fans.

Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R

You should have seen this one coming. The R34 is by far one of the most, if not the most overrated car to exist. It has a huge fan base because of the hit movie franchise Fast and Furious. The car was driven by Brian O’Conner. This car becomes more overrated each and everyday. With the thousands of videos on the internet about it, it just grows.

Haggard Garage. Need I say more? Other than the YouTube channel Haggard Garage bringing the Miata back to life (and making it more overrated than ever), I really don’t know why it’s overrated.

Mazda RX-7

The Mazda FD RX-7 was one of the few car models to feature a rotary engine. These rotary engines were incredibly rare because only one car manufacturer ever made them (I think?). Along with that, rotaries can be unreliable, I’ve heard. People also tend to swap out these rotaries for an LS engine, which I am not opposed to (inb4 hate).

The Bugatti Veyron.

The Bugatti Veyron was one of the fastest cars in the world. It was manufactured in France and made over 1000 horsepower. Big horsepower = fast. Fast = cool to fanboys and car guys alike.

Ford Shelby GT350R

While this car was overrated, it has good reasoning. It lapped the Nurburgring faster than some supercars and hypercars. That’s incredible for a $100,000 car. Along with that, this car features a 5.2 liter flat plane crank V8 that sounds fantastic, and delivers the power very nicely.

Well guys, that brings this #blogpost to an end. I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed making it. I know there was a bunch of cars I missed but I found these ones to be a tad more overrated than the rest. Anyway, I’ll see you all later, take care everybody!

Mazda isn’t the only company that did rotaries. NSU did them when they existed, and Lada produced a small number of rotary powered Samara’s, most of which were sold to the police

I think the miata is overrated because wannabe drifters always try to make their first car a miata or a 240, then when they f**k up the car they realise that it was their daily and they don’t have the money to fix the car or get a new one (if it leads to that)

the GT350r’s Starting price is $62k, and i wouldnt call it over rated. It earned its reputation as a great car, you said it yourself. but other than that I agree with this especially with the Aventador and RX7

I thought that was for the GT350? Either ways, it definitely earned its reputation. Thanks m8!

a mustang will allways be mustang wobbly and drives like a van but how on earth does a car look so futuristic and different from any thing on the road is over rated (aventador) + it has the numbers to back it up

Dealerships mark up the price roughly $40,000 higher than asking. My dad tried to buy one (they’re $80,000 in Canada) and it would have ended up costing $120,000 so we never got it. So actually him saying $100,000 is pretty accurate

Real Slim Stiggy

I’ve driven 3 of those cars (twin turbo rx7, r34 gtr, and miata) and i’ve gotten to ride shotgun in an aventador. I’ve never had more fun than drivng an rx7 in my entire life and all 4 of those cars live up to the hype, and since you knock on rotaries I would have at least expected you to know something about them. Also people who think rotaries are unreliable do not know basic car maintenance. Also Miata was cool before Haggard Garage came around, and driving an r34 was a dream come true, I love the stiffness of the clutch and the mighty tt i6 pumping in front, and acceleration of the aventador threw me into the seat like a roller coaster. Don’t knock on cars if youre 5 years away from driving

Nice! Sounds like fun I can’t wait until I can drive them.
