Some of the most overrated cars.
As car people we obviously have to deal with fanboys saying that this is the best car, and that is the best. So today, we are going to shine some light on these cars on why they are overrated.
Lamborghini Aventador
The Lamborghini Aventador is one of the most overrated cars to not just the younger ‘enthusiasts’, but even the older ones. It has a 6.5 liter V12 that makes 700 horsepower at all four wheels. Big power in an Italian supercar, means a lot of fans.
Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
You should have seen this one coming. The R34 is by far one of the most, if not the most overrated car to exist. It has a huge fan base because of the hit movie franchise Fast and Furious. The car was driven by Brian O’Conner. This car becomes more overrated each and everyday. With the thousands of videos on the internet about it, it just grows.
Haggard Garage. Need I say more? Other than the YouTube channel Haggard Garage bringing the Miata back to life (and making it more overrated than ever), I really don’t know why it’s overrated.
Mazda RX-7
The Mazda FD RX-7 was one of the few car models to feature a rotary engine. These rotary engines were incredibly rare because only one car manufacturer ever made them (I think?). Along with that, rotaries can be unreliable, I’ve heard. People also tend to swap out these rotaries for an LS engine, which I am not opposed to (inb4 hate).
The Bugatti Veyron.
The Bugatti Veyron was one of the fastest cars in the world. It was manufactured in France and made over 1000 horsepower. Big horsepower = fast. Fast = cool to fanboys and car guys alike.
Ford Shelby GT350R
While this car was overrated, it has good reasoning. It lapped the Nurburgring faster than some supercars and hypercars. That’s incredible for a $100,000 car. Along with that, this car features a 5.2 liter flat plane crank V8 that sounds fantastic, and delivers the power very nicely.
Well guys, that brings this #blogpost to an end. I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed making it. I know there was a bunch of cars I missed but I found these ones to be a tad more overrated than the rest. Anyway, I’ll see you all later, take care everybody!

Things are over rated for a reason. There’s no way a top performing car of the 21st century is over rated, despite all the hate the Veyron gets for being a non-car guy car. It’s one of the best designed cars ever, and it sits wayyyy up there because the engineers who designed the body and the engine did a spectacular job. Same goes for the rest of them, the Skyline is up there because at the time, it was one of the most amazing cars around in terms of handling, styling and power. The Miata is popular because of the FR layout, pop-up headlights, power-to-weight ratio, 50-50 weight distribution and how cheap they are. I would go on about the rest but you get the point. There’s a reason each of these cars made it on this list. They deserve a little more respect.
Yes, I understand that. I never said I disliked these cars, I love all of these cars. And I respect them totally, and the work that goes into making them.
No R35!? 350R and Veyron are not overated
The R35 is definitely overrated, yes. But the Veyron is overrated without a doubt. 350R is overrated but it has good reason to be
Give me an alternative for a Miata. A sports car that is affordable to buy and run. ;)
350z. Just have to find a cheap one
Miata is not overrated it’s an amazing car for the money
