Camaro vs Challenger vs Mustang.......

First contender, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS

This is the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS making 455 horsepower to the crank and 455 ft-lbs of torque coming fro ma 6.2L LT1 engine, and only having a weight of around 3670-3700 lbs depending on the factory options you put on the car.

This beastly machine flies from 0-60 in 4.0 -4.4 seconds, and runs the quarter mile anywhere from 12.5 seconds to 11.9 seconds.

The exterior isn’t a massive departure from the 5th gen Camaro but its a noticeable difference. The biggest difference is the frame the car rests on its the all new alpha platform making it much lighter than the 5th gen Camaro which sat on the heavy zeta platform. The front of the car looks very aggressive. The side of the Camaro also looks very aggressive with the flared out muscular hips, low roof line and a low stance. Then again looks are subjective and the Camaro only looks as good as you think it does.

The interior of the Camaro

The interior of the Camaro got a huge upgrade compared to the 5th gen Camaro. The interior features cool colored accent lights in the door panels and around the center console. There is also a new 8 inch touch screen on the center console which has apple car play and now android car play. The screen in the middle is where you can change the color of the accent lighting on the doors and on the console itself, the lights have a mode called show mode where the change through all of the colors, fading in and out of each color. The visibility hast gotten much better at all, in fact the rear visibility may have gotten slightly worse. There is now also an electric parking break a new car start button like in the Corvette as well. The Camaro comes in 6 speed manual and 8 speed auto versions. It also has hardtop and convertible versions.

and all of this performance has a price the 1LT being $26,695, the 2LT being $30,795, the 1SS being $37,295 and the 2SS being $42,295.

The Camaro's engine

The is the Chevrolet engine in a newer series of engine known as “LT” the successor to the “LS series”. This engine is the 455 horsepower Camaro variant of the LT1 which can also be found in the 2016 Corvette Stingray. But the Camaro’s LT1 is made out of 70% unique parts made only for the Camaro. This engine makes 455 horsepower and 455 ft-lbs of torque. This engine also has 6.2L of displacement.

The 2016 Mustang GT

This is the 2016 Mustang GT. This beastly Machine makes 435 horsepower and 400 ft’lbs of torque all coming from a 5.0L Coyote engine This best flies from 0-60 anywhere around 4.3 seconds to 4.6 seconds. The Mustang runs the quarter mile anywhere from 12.5-12.8 seconds.

The Mustang can weigh anywhere from 3,750 lbs to 3,800 lbs depending on what options you add to it. The exterior styling is kind of a retro modern flashback to the first gen Mustang from the 60’s. The Mustang has a good looking fastback side profile, cool tri bar tail lights with sequential turning symbol indicators. The front is very aggressive but it seems to borrow much of its face from the Ford Fusion, but thats not a bad thing since the Ford Fusion is a good looking car.

The interior of the Mustang GT

The interior also seems to bee a retro - flashback to the 60’s Mustangs. It has very nice materials all throughout the interior. There is an 8 inch screen in the center console with soon to come apple car play and android car support. Visibility is not a problem in the Mustang as much as in the Camaro either. The Mustang comes in 6 speed manual and 6 speed auto variants, and your classic fastback and convertible options.

The engine of the Mustang

This is the engine of the Mustang the 5.0L Coyote V8, which was also used in the 5th gen Mustang. It makes 435 horsepower and 400 ft’lbs of torque. The Coyote also seems to handle modding very well. So what does the Mustang cost? Less than the Camaro. The 2016 Mustang V6 only costs $24,145, the Mustang GT costs $32,395.

The 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 Scat Pak

While Chevy and Ford fight it out with the Mustang and the Camaro, Dodge makes the Challenger. It has a very Retro Modern look to it even more so than the Mustang. It barely looks any different than that of the 1970’s Challenger. The SRT 392 Scat pak weighs anywhere from 4,200 lbs to 4,300 lbs depending on the options you put on it. The Challenger makes 485 hp to the crank and 485 ft-lbs of torque making it accelerate from 0-60 in about 4.2 - 4.3 seconds and it runs the quarter mile in about 12.2-12.3 seconds.

The Challenger keeps a classic muscle car look while still staying very modern. There’s not much else to say about it than that, oh yeah it also has a shaker in the hood! but as you can obviously see the Challenger is huge compared to the Mustang and Camaro

The interior of the Challenger

The interior of the Challenger is a very nice place to be. It has nice soft leathers everywhere, no real visibility issues, nice sound systems, very comfortable seats, a nice big touchscreen in the center console, an electric parking brake a push to start button.

The engine of the Challenger

The Challengers engine is a 6.4L Hemi made by Dodge that produces 485 horsepower and 485 ft -lbs of torque. It has a intake called a “shaker” that sticks up through the hood and is fully functional and adds a cool factor to the overall look of the car. The Challenger comes in at a price of $43,795

Well that was my comparison of the 2016 Mustang GT Camaro SS and Challenger SRT 392 Scat Pak.

Which one would you choose?

as you know though I have already made my decision.

The new mustang looks extremely similar to the last mustang and it’s praised. The new Camaro looks less like the last Camaro and is criticized.

I respect The Challenger, and adore The Mustang, but honestly, id take The Camaro over the other 2 b/c ive always loved Camaros more than the other 2 and as for the new 6th gen redesign, I personally love how aggressive the front is but id personally keep the 5th gen tail. Great review btw, how’d get your hands on the cars?
