Rb26det with wider wheels. As much weight reduction as possible. And last but not least a drift charm for good luck.
LS4 swap, as its meant to be transversely mounted for fwd. that should proxy do it. these engines were in the late 2000’s W-Bodys. Plus, you keep it in the gm family.
Weight reduction take out al the interior out except driver seat put a suzuki sx4 engine or the suzuki 1.3 twincam engine make it turbo buy tires buy coilovers for suzuki swift since its the same car and tune it and crash probably
Keep Metro stock, use 5 grand to bribe the guy responsible for lap times. It’s a world record!
Couple of bike engines.
GM C20LET engine , turn up boost(250 bhp easily)
a set of coilovers
4enkei RPF1 wrapped with Toyo’s R888
widen car track.
Roll Cage, Racing bucket + 4 point harness (gotta keep it safe)
Bodykit and a rear spoiler to keep that tail in line !
and if money left… upgrade those brake discs & pads.
Oh and a sound system with eurobeat tracks for the lap record.
DONE :D
Strip the interior, and take out extra weight, like power steering, alternator, etc. All costs 0. Then, put adjustable Springs on it. $300-400. Stiffer antiroll bars. And adjustable upper control arms. Put in a light roll cage. Now we’re up to maybe a grand or 1500. Then throw in lighter cams, lightened flywheel, and and maybe bore the motor out just a bit. Add all that up, and we’re at around $3000. Finally put some bigger brakes, and some braided lines on it. $3700. Hire a pro racing driver to destroy the time.
Geo metro - the most fun I have ever had in a car. You drove it flat out hustling every gear to maintain corner speed . We bolted a junkyard mustang hood scoop on mine cut the hood and routed a PVC pipe to collect more air , 1 1/2 conduit pipe straight side exit exhaust and the widest 13” tires car x could get me .
Wow good challenge!
well mine would go:
-SR20DET swap
-Drivetrain and gearing for that circuit.
-Strip it all, sell parts for a bit more money, build a cage to that dead trap.
-Invest in aero as it is needed for getting traction on speed, more downforce!
-that power will need race wheels and tires.
Hope it is enough money I doubt it being honest but here I can get the engine on the cheap
That should be all.
