2014 Civic Si Vs 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth

I’m aware of the specs(Canadian) I know the Si is faster but I love both cars equally and can’t decide on which one to purchase this coming fall. I always hear on reviews that the Abarth despite its lack of power is a really fun car (5 speed manual). But I’m also considering the Si because it’s more practical and because V-Tec! I’m not completely sure on my decision between the two so I’m asking you guys for your help and opinions !

NOT true on modern Fiats. The 500L had an early transmission problem that the media latched onto and applied to ALL Fiats, but the facts are the 500 and Abarth have been very reliable.

JD Power just rated it 5 stars for mechanical reliability.

Abarth=Italian
Italian=Ferrari, Lambo, Alfa…
So the Abarth is basically a laferrari with the looks of an aventador and the elegance of an 8C
But in all seriousness my vote goes to the Abarth. More fun (imo), great noise but that’s a tradeoff for less practicality. A trade I’d take but this choice is up to you :D. Best of Luck!

Depends, if you need something more practical as far as a daily, but still a fun car then I would say the Honda. But if you’re just looking for a fun car to hoon around in then probably the Fiat. Either way I highly suggest going with a manual!

I own a 2014 Si Sedan so I’m obviously biased but I vote Civic. Feel free to ask any questions!

Civic Si any day. Honda makes one of the best feeling transmissions, aswell Hondas are made to shift at high RPM making them fun to drive. Plus Honda is every reliable, allowing you to get an easy 200k miles out of it.

Please go with the Civic. The Abarth is cute but you’ll regret having a microcar… The civic has reliability, practicality and speed on its side (but if you can wait for the 2017 one it should be awesome!)

Why would he regret it? Many of us have bought them and not blinked twice.

Practicality wise and availability to improve performance: civic Si hands down.

Although one cannot deny the sweet, crisp sound of an Abarth.

It is as though the gods of Olympus spoke to the angelic musicians to create the sound of a mechanical beast begging to be pushed to her limits, gripping you as you further put your might against her bossum. LOL.

I’ve heard bad things regarding the reliability of the 500, lots of transmission issues. That is just from one example though.

Not true in the least.

The 500L had early issues with the transmission - the “L” is a completely different model.
2012 Fiat 500s had CLUTCH issues, but that issue has not affecting anything but 2012 models.
