but its an 86 with an ae86 engine how can you not like it
Unless its a turbo or he is cutting lots of metal to save weight, its going to be way slower. And worse. But thats the great thing about cars, if he wanted to be logical, he probably wouldnt have bought gt86 in the first place.
absolutely downgrade!
All of the things to talk about, and you talk about the 4AGE. You’re just like your sister, haha. Look past the engine and at that rollcage. Oooh, lala!
I love the 4age and the noise it makes, but you are right its not just an engine swap its a full build
What a genious… Less horsepower, worse handling. I love both the AE86 and the GT86, but this is ridiculous…
And everybody complains about ls swaps, but this is absolutely better?
Yes, it is.
Yes, because he swapped a Boxer 4 for an I4 that’s from the same company that made the car.
Is he swapping a TRD race spec 4A-GE AE101 20v with rev limit of 11000prm and 240 horsepower? Or else it is a downgrade. It will sound nice though.
The one that takumi uses?
And you don’t need the group A engine for the road. If he wants to keep it naturally aspirated he can go for the AE101 20V engine parts and replace crankshafts, injectors, and so on. Or just put forced inductions like turbochargers
But that is a racing engine and it needs to be rebuilt every race
You watch a lot of initial D. High Five
it looks like the small port 1.6L 16 valve 4A-GE. same one as i have. And if you can get your hands on it there is a TRD produced ecu that puts the revs up to 1100rpm and with new intake, exhaust and injectors power increases pretty quickly. (my dad was apart of the toyota australia team when the 4A-GE was brought to aus)
its a scion not a toyota
Toyota and Subaru designed together.
Task for toyota: make a 4E-GE succesor
do you mean 4A-GE?
I’m sure I’ve read that the 2zz-ge is exactly that
4AGE swapping your FRS, for when the NA flat four isn’t anemic enough…
Comments
It’s an FR-S
Well…..its kinda the same thing
Don’t know if downgrade or upgrade.
