Just tested the MR2, it appears to be 5% lower than whatever the speedometer actually reads, the old Micra was 10%.

100kmh on speedo is 90kmh on Gps, I don’t know who to believe going past speed cameras
265 KM/h reads 258 on gps so it’s pretty accurate
20 y/o Opel Astra gives me 8-10 km/h more than GPS.
i had about 3 km/h difference
It was perfectly the same in my VW Passat
Roughly 5-10 km/h difference tested on VW Up! and Audi A4 2004
all the vehicles and GPS devices i’ve tested - 4-6km/h less on GPS
If you ever plug in a OBD (On Board Diagnostics) chip like the ELM 327 it tells you your actual speed which from experience was about 2-3 slower than what the speedometer read
