Here are 5 surprisingly cheap fast cars. (Click for full list!)

Every petrolhead loves browsing the classified advert sites of the interwebs dreaming about their next car. I like to think of it as a lazy yet enjoyable form of guilt-free window shopping.

What I really love though, is stumbling across something that surprises me, something that makes me shout in a very British way, “blimey that’s cheap!”

Here are five real drivers’ cars that have recently made me do exactly that. I’ve also written in a quick conversion for USD and Euros. Can you think of any more? If so, post them up in the comments!

All cars found for sale in the UK in GBP (£) listed on AutoTrader.co.uk. All currency calculations are approximate at today’s rate.

I wish depreciation worked like that in the US… Not a single one of these cars could be had for under $10k (except maybe the WRX and even then it would have 150k on it). Prices for used cars are stupid high over here.

But UK car prices cannot be fully converted into EUR because in other countries those prices dont apply. The Bugeye WRX is 8500€ over here. And the Hawkeye with 180k km is 10.900€ over here.

As a dane I can only cry! a 2001 CL500 with 120000miles on the clock is more than £20.000 but from new it was £200.000 here.
And for what my Skoda is worth in DK I could sell it, buy an Alpina B10 in the UK and still have money for parts :(

That sad sad moment when, for example, the same porsche costs €38,000 and the subaru €13,000 in my country. Tries not to cry, cries a lot.

Even though I’m more of a Subaru fan, I’m in love with that Alpina! That Subaru is a real bargain though. For that price you can have a decent GT Turbo here.
