I don’t see how the british insurance system is fair, you are paying for the car 3 times a year. And if it gets written off they just give you a bit of money… It so unfair it’s stupid. Meanwhile in PT I pay 150€ yearly for mine. And we have some of the same insurance companies you guys have.
For a 1.2 fiesta (78bhp) as a first car, insurance will be like £1500. It pisses me off.
shhhh nao fales muito senão alguem ainda se lembra de fazer isso cá :D
I got a quote for a Mondeo Mk3 2.5 V6 @ nearly 2 grand fully comp no excess.
I then got a quote on a Countach for £1175 fully comp no excess.
Clearly, I’m likely to cause more damage in a front wheel drive saloon than an 80’s Italian V12 supercar that is notoriously difficult to drive and see out of.
WTF insurance companies?!
In the UK?
I’m also 17 and it’s a joke. How is any 17 year old supposed to afford this, especially if they are paying themselves? I don’t mind having to drive something slow and cheap, but the insurance should be cheaper than what it is now.
It doesn’t limit you to what car you can get, it literally stops you getting a car all together. It’s not fair… I just looked up insurance for a 1.2 corsa and they want £2500…
I’m hoping to get a Citroen C1 1 litre for my first car, cheap insurance (still £2000) and they get decent mpg.
Silly British people with your ridiculously over priced insurance. I’m 21 and I drive a 5.0L V8 Mustang and my insurance is several thousand dollars cheaper than that quote for the Miata.
How does that make us silly, it’s not like we agree with it lol
I tried getting insurance for an Audi RS6 just for a laugh, only £4000. Yet for my brother’s 1.2 Corsa it is also £4000. I think there is only a slight difference in the power and ability of the two cars…
yes, very slight lol
“So here’s another Top Gear Top Tip, If you are a 17 year old boy and are looking for car insurance, slice your penis off.”
I couldn’t find the clip of it so I just had to go from memory haha
