Just finished painting my gear knob, now i want to paint the numbers in red, any idea on how to do it, fellow petrolheads?

1. wait until it completely dries…
2. mask everything except the top, flat area
3. have a dry rag ready
4. spray the top (unmasked) area with red paint
5. use your rag to wipe the top flat area, and try not to get inside the numbers…
   done

i dont have a picture but in my old car i did the exact same thing and used ladys nail polish stuff got a really weird look from the man behind the counter when i said “its for my knob”
