#ChallengeTime CTzens: You are given a Geo Metro and a budget of 5000 US Dollars, your goal is to turn the Metro into a high speed Time Attack car! Rules Below.

1. Weight reduction - Soft top, Fibreglass panels, Aftermarket rims, passenger seat removal, etc.
2. Power Upgrade - Stroker kit, Boring the block, new pistons, New Valve train, High dip camshafts, Turbo intercooler, head porting and polish, Ligher engine parts like bearings, conrods etc, POD filters, Bigger Exhaust pipe,NOS.
3. Brakes - Bigger and better brakes both front and rear, Drum to disc conversion, Body mods for better brake cooling airflow.
4. Aerodynamics - Wide body panes, Spoiler on front bumper and a tiny one on the back.
5. Other - New tires, new rims, New steering wheels,

Cut the guards and fold them up flat (So they are really wide, and still cover the wheels), fit massive tyres, because I’m in aus I would throw a holden V8 in it, and de stroke it to around 4L or so, and fit big brakes off of a wrecked commo or falcon, the holden motor are pretty cheap, and I could get cheap enough used parts for it off of my mate. I should have just a few hundred dollars left, that could be spent on a E85 conversion kit for the carb.

Borrow the V8 out of my dads Torana, put it in for free, then spend the rest on aero, and suspension, and Brakes, (Brakes out of a wrecked commo or falcon would be a few hundred), I already got some wide wheels with good tyres sitting around waiting to be put on the car, so borrow them, so I have upwards of 6K Australian left for Aero, do the guards for free, because we have spare metal and the tools to custom make some really wide fenders, maybe turbo it cause it only makes just over 220hp to the crank and if I was a good enough driver I reckon it could do a 1:50

$4000 on a Hayabusa engine, ~$1000 on really fat front wheels and rubber and stiff suspension if there’s enough left over.

Get custom coils fabbed in (cheap, megan racing, or the like), install over fenders, run 15x8 wheels and tires. Gut interior. $1500.
Rip out metro drive train for B18 non v-tec, running toda killer cams with VERY high lift. $500
Used ebay turbo setup: $500
Register car in Nevada: $100
Reinforce chassis with custom cage and chassis reinforcement: $1000
corner balance and race alignment: $200
Stand alone ECU and tuning: $1000
Ltw flywheel and 6 puck clutch, built trans: $1000.

ok, we take a b16, add a MB eaton m65, then if you are as crazy as me add a k04 off a vag
second we add some brakes from an evo 1, 2 or 3 and rob the wheels with them.
now take if the b16 box came without an lsd swap one in.
buy the cheapest coilovers possible and wind them all the way down to keep you flat through the corners.
Free wheight reduction is a given..
Most importantly get a driver with huge cojones to match the crazy geo metro ( I volunteer as tribute)

Suzuki Impulse turbo engine swap, bolt ons, no aero mods, spend the rest on suspension/handling mods.
